ALMA Fiware Global Summit

ALMA was present at the FIWARE Global Summit (FGS) 2023.
The event was hosted in Vienna, Austria, gathering people from around the world interested in the framework of open-source technologies, open standards, data spaces, and smart data models.

 

More than 420 attendees and +160 speakers of diverse backgrounds, from developers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors, were present at the 6th edition of the FIWARE Global Summit.  The event, celebrated during the 12th and 13th of June, provided the latest highlights on Open Source innovations and implementations.

In this context, Prof. Joaquín Salvachúa and David Campo, see Figure 1, presented the roadmap activities of FIWARE regarding AI/ML topics. In this regard, they have presented a new MLOps reference architecture for ML with a particular application with ALMA during the “Disruptive Tech and Trends” track of the summit.

The architecture exposes the general idea of the orchestration of phases in ML projects, providing the basis for quickly automating steps and minimizing errors when putting a model in production or when testing while looking for insights. Also, a working group in AI/ML on FIWARE was presented, where the community was invited to join to discuss any topic related to AIML in the world of FIWARE.
