Algebraic AI

The goal of the company is to develop software and hardware products as well as providing consultancy and support for projects using Algebraic Machine Learning (AML).

AML is the result of a decade of research by the founders of this start-up. AML began as a private research project that recently developed into an academic project backed by the Champalimaud Foundation.

The founders of ALGEBRAIC AI have substantial IP on Algebraic Machine Learning including an international patent application, a high-performance C code implementation, and an on-going FPGA-based hardware implementation project.

ALGEBRAIC AI S.L. has a sister start-up in the United States. ALGEBRAIC AI Inc, founded in 2018, in order to have a global presence.

Role

Algebraic AI leads the WP3, the AML-DL description language, interpreter, and consistency checker. These tasks are very close to fundamental research (WP2), so a tight collaboration with the Champalimaud Foundation is planned. Work is expected to span from basic algorithm research and engine implementations, including hardware implementations (Task 6.5, led by TUK).
