ALMA AI Work Packages Overview
The primary goal of the EU-funded ALMA project is to harness the unique properties of AML to usher in a new era of interactive, human-centric machine learning systems. These innovative systems are designed to tackle multiple challenges, including reducing bias and preventing descrimination, retaining existing knowledge when learning new information and fostering trust, reliability, and explainability in human-AI interactions. Comprising of 8 interdependent Work Packages (WPs), the project aims to pioneer a new generation of human-centric maching learning systems by investigating how to use AML to benefit society. This is done by developing new ML use cases (e.g. medical imaging), applications to robotics, applications for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and measuring the impact on ethics and world models.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 952091.
