VTT Technical Research
VTT is one of Europe´s leading research institutions, owned by the Finnish state.
VTT focuses its activities on continuous development of innovative technologies and solutions: particularly for Finnish industry, which must remain internationally competitive despite high labour cost and far distance from mass markets. It has internal “Lighthouse” programmes that aim to support Finnish SMEs in growing and in internationalization. The programmes provide instruments for exploiting the knowledge from the project especially to SMEs. In addition, VTT works together within high-tech ecosystems such as DIMECC (Digital, Internet, Materials & Engineering Co-Creation) that facilitate wide exploitation of VTT results to a wide range of Finnish organizations seeking to increase their competitive performance. From system design to pre-industrial prototypes, VTT has expertise on every stage of the innovation chain. The exploitation strategy of VTT will be based on developing high level of expertise, understanding the industrial needs and creating strategic partnerships. VTT prizes high quality scientific publications, registering of patents, technology and products transfer and licensing towards SME or to spin-off ventures. This project will broaden the scope of VTT to provide continuously new and advanced methods in robotics, which can provide the foundations for solutions and technologies to industry.
Role
VTT will contribute to WP5 in the tasks related to dynamic world models (Task 5.5,5.6 & 5.8).

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 952091.
